The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with a variety of tasks related to recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent education acceptable to the Town. One (1) to Two (2) years related Human Resources is an asset.
Compensation includes an hourly rate of $26.91 plus 4% vacation pay, based on 37.5 hours weekly. The successful candidate is also entitled to enroll in the Ontario Municipal Employee Retirement System (OMERS) pension plan.

Position Objective
This position provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with a variety of tasks related to recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist in the recruitment process including:
a. Creating internal job postings
b. Creating external job ads
c. Post job ads via recruitment program (VidCruiter)
d. Screening resumes
e. Scheduling interviews
f. Participating in interviews
g. Conducting references and background checks
h. Drafting offers
i. Coordinate onboarding
2. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
3. Update employee information in HR systems.
4. Assist with the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
5. Prepare and distribute HR-related communications.
6. Coordinate employee recognition programs and events.
7. Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
8. Assist with preparation of Joint Job Evaluation Committee documents and correspondence.
Education & Experience
· A diploma in Human Resources Management, or equivalent education acceptable to the Town.
· One (1) to Two (2) years related Human Resources experience is an asset.
Knowledge
· Applied knowledge of MS Office Suite, social media platforms and computer applications.
· Knowledge of recruitment process and strategies.
· Knowledge of HR legislation practices, policies and procedures.
· Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
